Plot:
Set in the peaceful village of Purushothapalli in West Godavari, "Committee Kurrollu" revolves around a close-knit group of friends—Shiva, Surya, Subbu, William, Peddodu, and others—whose bond is legendary in the village. However, their friendship is put to the test when a sudden dispute erupts among them, sending shockwaves throughout the community. The film delves into the reasons behind their fallout, the impact on the village's culture, and whether they will reconcile. The mysterious role of a character named Bujji adds intrigue to the unfolding drama.
Performances:
- Subbu character: Delivers a standout performance, carrying a significant portion of the film's emotional weight.
- Peddodu (Prasad Behara): Impresses with a strong portrayal, making his character memorable.
- Supporting Cast: All eleven friends perform convincingly, adding authenticity to the story. And i hope they all make there name well known in the industry. Girls also potryed their character pretty well.
Technicians:
- Direction: Yadu Vamsi excels in bringing a realistic touch to the film, with strong character development and a deep understanding of village life.
- Music: Anudeep Dev’s score complements the film well, with "Aa Rojulo" by Karthik being a highlight.
- Cinematography: The use of natural lighting and outdoor settings gives the film an authentic feel, making the village and its inhabitants come alive on screen.
- Editing: The editing is sharp, though the second half and climax could have benefited from more detailed development.
Strengths:
- Casting: Choosing all new faces for the lead roles was a bold decision that paid off, as the performances are fresh and engaging.
- Music and BGM: The background score is effective in enhancing the emotional depth of the scenes, and the song "Aa Rojulo" stands out.
- Cinematography: The film’s visual authenticity is one of its key strengths, making the village setting feel real and relatable.
Weaknesses:
- Second Half and Climax: The latter part of the film feels rushed, with the conflict resolution not explored as deeply as it could have been. This detracts from the overall impact of the story.
My Personal Take:
"Committee Kurrollu" is a film that taps into nostalgia and the essence of village life, offering a story that feels like it could have happened in any small community. While the first half is strong, the second half could have used more time to develop the drama and the resolution of conflicts. Despite these flaws, it is a well-executed film that resonates with its audience, thanks to its realistic portrayal of friendships and village dynamics.
