Set in 1985, Bhairathi Ranagal tells the story of Bhairathi, a man pushed to desperation by government apathy toward his village’s basic needs, leading to drastic consequences. The film’s backdrop of rural struggles interwoven with the rise of an intense protagonist has its moments but falters due to weak execution in certain areas.
